Welcome to Exhaust Systems Professional Association (ESPA) online.

ESPA is a national trade association formed in Australia in 1986 to represent exhaust system repair specialists (muffler shops). Although originally modelled along the same lines as an association in the USA of the same name, since the demise of the US association, it is now the only trade association in the world dedicated to the exhaust and undercar industry.

ESPA has three classes of membership; 'Operator' (retail outlets servicing and repairing exhaust systems) and, branches operated by a member plus 'Associate' (manufacturers and suppliers). The association is controlled by an elected National Committee, which in turn elects a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Executive Officer to carry out executive duties in the management of the association. Elections are held annually.

ESPA protects members interests by vetting legislation that effects the operation of businesses specialising in undercar services and provides feedback to members on local, state and national issues through its 'Fast Facts' newsletter.

ESPA promotes its members to the public as responsible and professional operators through its Code of Practice.

Activities include a national conference held in conjunction with its Annual General Meeting and the implementation of programs to assist members in the running of their shops.
